The hypothetical situation is that an airline Boeing 737 taking off from Thailand to Guangzhou (China) when entering Vietnamese territory discovers engine problems and requests an emergency landing at Noi Bai airport.
But the plane suddenly lost signal, requiring the authorities to coordinate an urgent search and rescue. The air search force of the Air Defense - Air Force discovered the plane crashed in the Dong Mo area, Son Tay. The authorities immediately deployed an effective rescue, minimizing damage to people and property.
The purpose of the exercise is to train civil aviation forces in searching for and coordinating aircraft rescue; test the coordination ability of forces participating in search and rescue; and test the ability to search for aircraft in distress using the satellite search and rescue system.
