Firefighting drill at gas station in Hoang Mai town

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of April 15, in Quynh Thien ward, Hoang Mai town, Fire Police Department No. 4 organized a fire fighting drill at Thanh Cong petrol station.

Success Gas Station Where a Fire Supposedly Occurs

Thanh Cong Gas Station under Thanh Cong Company Limited is built on an area of ​​150m2. There are 03 pump stations, 03 tanks with a total capacity of 50m3, arranged with 03 breathing valves, using closed import and export technology. The flammable substances here are mainly gasoline and oil with large reserves, so the fire and explosion hazard is very high, when a fire occurs, it will cause difficulties for fire fighting and rescuing victims. During the operation process, the facility always complies with the State's regulations on fire safety. However, the risk of fire at the facility is very high and if a fire occurs, the consequences will be very serious.

Fire Fighting Force No. 4 deployed to control the fire

The drill situation was at 4:30 p.m. on April 15, 2015, during the process of loading gasoline, an electric spark caused a fire in the gasoline tank area. Employees and customers were able to escape the fire area and notify the store manager. The facility mobilized forces and fire fighting equipment on site and implemented a plan to extinguish the fire, rescue people, rescue property and protect the relocated property, and at the same time called the PC and CC forces. Due to the dangerous nature of the fire, the on-site forces could not control it in time, so the fire was at risk of spreading to neighboring areas.

Upon receiving the report from Center 114, the PC and CC Police Department No. 4 promptly mobilized forces, dispatching 02 fire trucks to the area where Thanh Cong petrol station was located. Immediately upon reaching the fire site, the authorities deployed a 2-tank B team to spray water to cool the building structure and at the same time control the fire from spreading to neighboring areas. In parallel with the fire fighting, in coordination with Hoang Mai town police, ensuring traffic safety, traffic flow, and maintaining security and order around the fire area, after 30 minutes of fire fighting, the fire was completely extinguished.
