Dien Thap: Receiving certificate of recognition of commune meeting New Rural standards

(Baonghean.vn)- On the morning of December 20, the Party Committee and People's Committee of Dien Thap Commune (Dien Chau) solemnly held a ceremony to receive the certificate of recognition of the commune meeting the New Rural Standards in 2014. Attending the ceremony were representatives of a number of departments and branches at the provincial and district levels of Dien Chau, along with many people from Dien Thap Commune and other communes.

Overview of the ceremony

As one of the communes chosen by Dien Chau district as a focal point for building new rural areas, with the high determination of the entire political system, Dien Thap commune focuses on directing strongly, issuing many specialized resolutions, policies that are accurate, good practices that create high consensus among the people. The commune focuses on shifting the economic structure by rapidly applying scientific and technological advances to production, developing diverse and rich service industries.

After 3 years of building the new rural area, the rural appearance of Dien Thap has become increasingly prosperous and people's lives have been improved. The average economic growth rate is 16%/year, the average income per capita is 35 million VND/year; the poverty rate is 2.84%, in terms of labor structure, more than 90% of workers have regular jobs; the commune meets national standards on health level 2, the environment of village roads and alleys is green, clean and beautiful. Dien Thap is a locality that has well implemented the movement of the whole people uniting to build a cultural life in residential areas, with 6/9 hamlets, 7 clans, 3 schools, and medical stations achieving the title of district-level cultural unit, 85% of families achieving cultural status; the cultural, artistic and sports movements have developed vigorously. Education work is taken care of, national defense and security are ensured, there are no hot spots, no petitions beyond the level. The political system is strong in all aspects.

Implementing Directive 08 of the Provincial Party Committee on land consolidation, following the motto of each hamlet having one field, each household having 1-2 plots, the result is that the average of the whole commune is 1.89 plots/household, each person donated land to build local welfare works is 19 m² = 7.91 ha.

In particular, after 3 years of building the new rural area, the locality has focused on investing in infrastructure construction, completing nearly 30 km of rural roads and roads to the fields in accordance with the regulations of the Ministry of Transport; building working offices, communal stadiums, building 8 new primary school classrooms, 4 secondary school classrooms, 2 security houses, auxiliary works for the southern kindergarten, clean water plant, 1.9 km of road from Hamlet 5 to Chua Bien, upgrading and renovating pumping station No. 2. The total cost of the above projects is 87 billion VND, of which the people contributed 26 billion VND.

Being recognized as a commune meeting the NTM standards in 2014 is also an honor, a premise, and a motivation for cadres, party members, and people of Dien Thap commune to continue to strive to maintain the commune meeting the standards and improve the criteria in the following years.

At the ceremony, comrade Nguyen Van Hang - Deputy Chief of Office of the Provincial New Rural Area Coordination Board awarded the commune a certificate of meeting new rural standards and presented the commune with a welfare project worth 500 million VND; comrade Nguyen Van Hang spoke highly of the results that Dien Thap had achieved in the National Program on New Rural Area Construction to reach the finish line early and emphasized that the commune needs to promote emulation movements and implement sustainable new rural criteria...

On this occasion, 4 collectives and 4 individuals of Dien Thap commune were awarded certificates of merit by the Provincial People's Committee; Dien Chau People's Committee awarded certificates of merit to individuals and collectives of Dien Thap commune with outstanding achievements in the movement to build new rural areas.
