If on April 20, the whole province had only 1,174 hectares of rice infected, by April 26, it had reached 8,916.3 hectares, of which 257.1 hectares were heavily infected, mainly concentrated in the districts of Dien Chau, Hung Nguyen, Yen Thanh, Thanh Chuong, Nghi Loc, Anh Son, .... with a common rate of 5-10%; high places 10-20%, locally 40-50%. Localities have carried out prevention and control on 6,532.2 hectares. It is forecasted that in the coming time, the outbreak of the disease will continue to increase rapidly in both severity and scope, especially in densely planted rice fields with high nitrogen fertilization.

In areas of rice infected with a rate of 10% or more, farmers need to be instructed to prevent the disease with one of the following drugs: Valydacin 3-5L, Cavil 50SC, Vida 5WP, Jinggangmeisu 5-10 WP... mix the drug according to the recommended dose and spray on the rice stem./.
