Having lived in Thung Khang hamlet for more than 25 years and been the hamlet's secretary and hamlet chief for nearly 15 years, Mr. Nguyen Van Hoat has always wondered how the poor hamlet would have electricity. He said: "My family has lived here since 1992, but it's only now that we have electricity. We're so happy, people can watch TV, use water pumps, cook rice with electricity...; all activities are extremely convenient. Life is truly renewed!"
Indeed, since the national grid was brought to their homes, the material and spiritual life of the people of Thung Khang has become bustling and exciting. Many households have immediately purchased televisions, water purifiers, refrigerators, water pumps, etc. to serve their daily needs. Simply recharging a cell phone without having to "ask" another neighbor is already "happy".

Mr. Dang Dinh Thanh, Thung Khang hamlet, excitedly shared: “For more than a month now, thanks to the Party and the Government, electricity has been available to villages and remote areas. When there was no electricity, everything was difficult, frustrating, and frustrating, because there was only a road of more than 2 km from the center and there had been no electricity for nearly 30 years. Now that there is electricity, we have actively invested in machinery, agricultural tools, and means of production and daily life to increase income.”
Thung Khang hamlet has 40 households with 137 people, of which the rate of poor and near-poor households accounts for 80%. Only about 3km from the center of Tho Hop commune, Thung Khang is nestled in the middle of a valley, people in production and daily life live in difficult conditions. Previously, to light up, people mainly had to use oil lamps, those with better conditions used batteries... At the end of June 2017, from the capital of program 135/CP, the People's Committee of Quy Hop district handed over the low-voltage power line system to Thung Khang hamlet with a total length of more than 3km.
Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Duyen - Secretary of the Thung Khang hamlet Party Cell said: "People are very excited to have electricity, diligently following through audio and visual means, learning to develop livestock and production models. Many households have built barns, bought grass choppers to raise cattle; irrigation for the fields has also been electrified... Now the hamlet is confident, together with the whole commune, to make efforts to realize the new rural criteria."
