Adjusting and supplementing the master plan for population arrangement until 2025
(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of October 24, the Provincial People's Committee held a meeting to collect opinions on adjusting the population arrangement plan in the area. Comrade Dinh Viet Hong - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired the meeting, attended by representatives of relevant departments and branches.

The goal of adjusting the population planning in the area is to basically stabilize households in areas at high risk of natural disasters, residents in the Vietnam-Laos border areas, particularly difficult areas, and special-use forest areas by 2020. Thereby, stabilizing and improving people's lives, minimizing damage caused by natural disasters, free migration, creating jobs, increasing income, contributing to poverty reduction, protecting the environment, and strengthening national security and defense. According to the project, from now until 2025, the whole province will stabilize 15,711 households, of which over 6,100 households will be stabilized in the 2014-2020 period.

After listening to the comments of the departments and branches, Mr. Dinh Viet Hong - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development to receive the comments of the departments and branches to complete this project; the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development needs to update the current legal documents to build and complete the project. The construction of the project for planning the settlement of the population needs to be consistent with the new rural planning and land use planning; residential land in the planning needs to follow the regulations of the Provincial People's Committee and the land fund of each locality; the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development needs to take advantage of and mobilize resources to implement the project.
