Adjusting university and college entrance exam fees
In the 2013 enrollment period, the registration fee for university, college and vocational school entrance exams was raised from 50,000 to 60,000 VND/application.

The Ministry of Finance - Ministry of Education and Training has just issued Joint Circular 25/2013/TTLT-BTC-BGDDT amending and supplementing Joint Circular No. 21/2010/TTLT/BTC-BGDDT regulating the collection and use of fees for university, college and vocational secondary school entrance exams and admissions.
Accordingly, regarding the preliminary selection fee (for schools that organize preliminary selection before the official exam), the preliminary selection fee for gifted majors is currently 100,000 VND/application, which has been increased to 120,000 VND/application; and the preliminary selection fee for other majors is increased from 40,000 VND/application to 50,000 VND/application (including all subjects).
Regarding exam fees, the Circular increases the cultural exam fee from 30,000 VND/application to 45,000 VND/application; the aptitude exam fee is 300,000 VND/application instead of 200,000 VND/application (including all subjects).
The fee for candidates who are eligible for admission or direct admission to universities, colleges, and vocational schools is 30,000 VND/application.
For the postgraduate entrance exam, the registration fee also increased from 50,000 to 60,000 VND/candidate/application, and the graduate exam fee increased from 100,000 to 120,000 VND/candidate/subject.
The application fee for postgraduate students remains at 200,000 VND/candidate and for overseas training admission using the state budget, the application fee also remains at 200,000 VND/candidate/application.
This Circular takes effect from April 25, 2013 and applies to admissions from 2013.
