First time watching TVC (commercial)Nghe An– Legendary Land”, I and many others were surprised and moved. The footage of Nghe An in this product appeared like a cinematic work, meticulous in every detail, creative in every angle, emotional in every movement… With 5 minutes and 27 seconds, Nghe An appeared realistic, vivid and emotional with all the most prominent landmarks, the most typical experiences, the deepest impressions.

And of course, there is no shortage of culinary treasures with many attractive "royal" dishes and a diverse street food menu.

Not only conveying images, information, and sounds, this tourism promotion product also makes people want to watch it over and over again, want to be present in Nghe An to witness and experience it. That is also the biggest goal that Ms. Ngo Thi Tra Giang - Deputy Head of Nghe An Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Center, expected when ordering Vietpictures to do it.

Ms. Giang shared: “As a travel enthusiast, I believe that a successful TVC is when it makes anyone who sees it curious and eager to visit the place mentioned in the clip. After cherishing and nurturing it for a long time, I decided to consult the center's leadership to invest a large amount of money to make this product. After the idea was approved, I chose the production unit to be a company specializing in making clips about Vietnam tourism for VTV, headquartered in Hanoi. Their previous products were truly excellent and that excellence and professionalism continued to be proven when they made the product "Nghe An - Legendary Land". Based on our ideas and wishes, they made a product that made us extremely satisfied, with almost no editing required. Since then, we have continued to stay in touch with each other to make future products."

Recalling, Ms. Giang still has all the emotions when sharing about the lovely and beautiful TVC that she helped to build. This product has been promoted and shown in many domestic and international tourism forums. Even, the National Airline Vietnam Airlines agreed to broadcast 30 minutes on flights.

Although completed in 2021, the data of the TVC "Nghe An - Legendary Land" continues its mission of promoting Nghe An tourism at trade fairs, tourism conferences... Most recently, the clip continued to be licensed for use in the SpaceStamp startup project of young people at Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted.

"Dream team" and second homeland

The person directly in charge of making the TVC “Nghe An – Legendary Land” is Nguyen Phuong Nhien - a girl from Bac Ninh born in 1993, currently an editor of the documentary department, thematic department - science and education, Vietnam Television. Nhien has a special relationship with Nghe An, as if that land had chosen her from the first days when she first came to Hanoi to study at university.

“Since I was a student, I have had a special affection for Nghe An. At that time, my boarding house was full of Nghe An people - the brothers and sisters were kind, friendly, and always ready to help me in life. After graduating from university and having the opportunity to work at Vietpictures, my relationship with Nghe An continued to be "woven" through business trips and films. Every trip was lovely and memorable. Many times we "unexpectedly worked", we had no plan, just went to people's houses to film, but every time we received a warm and enthusiastic welcome. Nowhere else are the people so friendly and lovely. My husband - who has made many TVCs for Nghe An, also loves Nghe An as if it were his second homeland. He also said that if he were born again, he would want to be born in Nghe An”.

And so, for Nhien, “Nghe An – The Land of Legends” is not simply a promotional product, but also a journey to accumulate deep emotions, knowledge and experiences about this land. The product is the “sweet fruit” of 3 official filming trips carried out over many months, along with a collection of documents accumulated from more than 20 previous trips. The whole crew took care of each frame, took advantage of the experiences and did their best.

“Every time I watch the footage made in Nghe An at that time, my nose is always a little sore. Not only because it is beautiful and lovely, but also because it reminds me of how we lived our lives to the fullest for our passion and work. We eagerly traveled from Hanoi to Quynh Luu at night and ran straight to the sea to catch the sunrise, cameraman Vu Quang Nam was willing to stay up all night to get a few precious time-lapse seconds, Hoang Linh was always dedicated and ready to throw herself into it, the MC was not afraid to film the swimming scene in the middle of winter without a single complaint... I had a wonderful "dream team" to work together to create a product I am proud of" - Nhien confided.

The success of “Nghe An – The Land of Legends” has an important contribution from the leading and experienced character - Daniel Jones - a “Western guy” from England. Sharing memories when making the introductory cliptourismNghe An, Daniel confided: “That was the first time I came to Nghe An, and Nghe An is also the first Central province I set foot in, after 4 years in Vietnam. Like everyone else, I was especially impressed with the people of Nghe An, they are warm, friendly, caring and willing to share. The beautiful scenery and cuisine are also wonderful things that make me love Nghe An. Along the way, there were so many beautiful scenes that we often had to stop to take pictures, so the travel time increased a lot, and the phone and camera batteries also ran out very quickly.”

Considering Nghe An as a miniature Vietnam with diverse experiences, Daniel affirmed: "Nghe An is one of the reasons that makes me more certain about my decision to spend the rest of my life in Vietnam."
