Investigation into the death of a 3-month-old baby after taking medicine
On the evening of November 10, Ba To District Police, Quang Ngai Province coordinated with Quang Ngai Provincial Police to conduct an autopsy and investigate the case of 3-month-old baby Pham Thi Quyen, in Ta Noat village, Ba Ngac commune, who died after taking medicine from Ba Ngac Commune Health Station.
This is the second death after receiving injections and taking medicine at local health facilities in the past week in Ba To district.

At 8:00 a.m. on December 10, Ms. Pham Thi Nun, 34 years old, brought her 3-month-old daughter, Pham Thi Quyen, to the Ba Ngac Commune Health Station for a medical examination. Here, medical staff diagnosed Pham Thi Quyen with bronchitis and gave her family medicine to take home. At 2:00 p.m. the same day, Quyen was in a coma. Her family rushed her to the doctor's house near the commune center, but Quyen had died.
Immediately after the incident, Ba To District Police coordinated with the Criminal Techniques Department of Quang Ngai Province Police to investigate the case. Ba To District Police also confiscated the drugs given to Quyen.
Previously, on December 6, also in Ba To district, a patient, Ho Van Khoat, 49 years old, in Ba Vi commune, Ba To district, died after being injected with drugs at Ba Vi Regional General Clinic.
