Investigation into the case of an old man's unusual death in a rented room

The repairman of the boarding house was shocked to discover Mr. Tri dead in the locked room.

On the afternoon of June 13, Thu Duc District Police in coordination with Ho Chi Minh City Police Department completed the crime scene investigation and clarified the cause of the death of an old man in the area. The victim was identified as Mr. Doan Huu Tri (born in 1952, residing in Ho Chi Minh City).

Police took statements from witnesses.

According to initial information, at around 9am the same day, many workers came to the boarding house located on Street 38, Hiep Binh Chanh Ward, Thu Duc District to repair the boarding house. These people saw that Mr. Tri's room was locked, so they looked through the window and saw him lying motionless. At first, they thought he was sleeping, but when people called him over and over again, he did not answer.

The old man’s body was taken to the morgue for investigation. Notably, there were injuries on the victim’s face.

The workers broke the door and found the old man dead. Upon receiving the information, Thu Duc District Police arrived at the scene, examined the body and investigated the cause of the old man's death.

During the initial examination, the police discovered old wounds on the victim’s face. Later that afternoon, the victim’s body was taken to the morgue to assist with the investigation.

According to some residents living near the boarding house, Mr. Tri works in construction, lives alone and has rented this room for a long time. The victim has relatives in District 10 and his daily health is normal, showing no strange signs.
