Suspending 4 illegal sand docks in Do Luong
(Baonghean.vn) - After checking and reviewing the situation of sand and gravel mining activities, Do Luong district has suspended 4 sand wharves operating without permission.
Do Luong district currently has 9 sand wharves (of which 2 are not yet in operation), currently only 4 sand wharves have inland waterway wharf licenses, the remaining 5 are unlicensed. Recently, 4 unlicensed wharves in operation were suspended and fined 45 million VND including:
1. Sand and gravel wharf of Hoa Binh Company Ltd., in hamlet 5, Boi Son commune.
2. Sand and gravel gathering station of Bao Ngan Company Ltd. in Hamlet 5, Boi Son Commune.
3. Sand and gravel gathering station of Luu Cat Thanh Company in Quang Trung hamlet, Luu Son commune.
4. Sand and gravel gathering station of Tien Hoa Company, block 1, Do Luong town.

Along with checking and reviewing the situation of sand and gravel mining activities, Do Luong district has completed planning for two sand and gravel gathering areas far from residential areas, near National Highway 7 and National Highway 15. The district requires sand and gravel mining and trading enterprises to complete the procedures of the functional sector to be granted inland waterway ports in the two above-mentioned planning areas.
The two planned gathering areas are Bai Con area, Dang Son commune (will be planned for 4 sand mining units including the companies: Tien Hoa LLC, Hoang Nguyen, Hung Dung, Luu Cat Thanh) and Bai Bu area, Trang Son commune (will be planned for 2 units: Hoa Binh company and B&T company).

Concentrating sand wharves in the above planning area will facilitate the transportation and sale of sand and gravel, reduce environmental pollution, and facilitate State management in sand and gravel production and business activities.

Nghe An Provincial People's Committee requested to review the commune chairman for allowing the sand wharf to operate without permission.
(Baonghean.vn) - The Provincial People's Committee assigned Thanh Chuong, Hung Nguyen, and Nam Dan districts to review the responsibilities of the Chairmen of the People's Committees of communes and towns for allowing sand docks to operate and re-operate despite being suspended and sealed.
