A sand mining company in Thanh Chuong has requested to return 2.65 hectares of sand mine land in Dong Van commune.
Following the landslide on the Lam River alluvial plain in Dong Van commune (Thanh Chuong district), which caused a public outcry, Thanh Chuong Sand and Gravel Exploitation and Transportation Joint Stock Company has submitted a request to return 2.65 hectares of sand mine land.
Further investigation into the causes of the landslide is underway, and consideration is being given to reducing the sand mine's capacity by 2 hectares in Dong Van commune (Thanh Chuong district).
