Along with considering cutting about 2 hectares of sand mine area in Dong Van commune, the working group chaired by the Department of Agriculture and Environment requested the People's Committee of Thanh Chuong district to verify and clarify the cause of landslides for strict handling according to legal regulations.

Information about the working group chaired by the Department of Agriculture and Environment inspecting and verifying the situation of landslides on Lam river banks in Dong Van commune, Thanh Chuong district related to sand exploitation was reported by Nghe An Electronic Newspaper on April 3, 2025 in the article"The Department of Agriculture and Environment will inspect and evaluate the impact of sand mining on the Lam River bank in Thanh Chuong district.".

After the working group finished the inspection, the Department of Agriculture and Environment sent Document No. 1003/SNNMT-KS to the People's Committee of Thanh Chuong district, the People's Committee of Dong Van commune and Thanh Chuong Sand Exploitation and Transportation Joint Stock Company (an organization with a sand mine in Dong Van commune).

Accordingly, from the results of current measurement and actual inspection, it is found that: The area reported by Dong Van commune people is located in a moong area (mine bottom - PV) of 6,320m2, belonging to Area II, Dong Van commune, Thanh Chuong district, was granted Mineral Exploitation License No. 2905/GP-UBND by the Provincial People's Committee on July 10, 2018; Upstream, outside the area adjacent to Area II, Dong Van commune, Thanh Chuong district, has an area of ​​1,117m2there is landslide

The Department of Agriculture and Environment requests Thanh Chuong Sand Mining and Transport Joint Stock Company to strictly suspend mining operations as requested by the People's Committee of Thanh Chuong district in Official Dispatch No. 765/UBND-TNMT dated April 1, 2025 until the case is completely handled; take measures to bring the mining area to a safe state (install warning signs, level the mining area...).

There is a document requesting to reduce an area of ​​about 2 hectares and an attached map of the area in Area II, Dong Van commune, Thanh Chuong district of Mineral Exploitation License No. 2905/GP-UBND dated July 10, 2018 (the reduced area of ​​about 2 hectares that Thanh Chuong Sand and Gravel Mining and Transportation Joint Stock Company agreed upon at the working session on April 3, 2025 - There is a map attached to this document) sent to the People's Committee of Dong Van commune, the People's Committee of Thanh Chuong district, the Department of Agriculture and Environment for processing (completed before 3:00 p.m. on April 4, 2025).

The Department of Agriculture and Environment requested the People's Committee of Dong Van commune to propagate and explain to people to understand, avoid gathering in crowds causing disorder; supervise the implementation of the temporary suspension of exploitation for Thanh Chuong Sand Exploitation and Transportation Joint Stock Company in Area II, Dong Van commune according to the request of the People's Committee of Thanh Chuong district in Official Dispatch No. 765/UBND-TNMT dated April 1, 2025;

At the same time, give opinions on the reduction of area when Thanh Chuong Sand Mining and Transport Joint Stock Company has a document requesting to reduce the area and a map of the reduced area sent to Thanh Chuong District People's Committee and the Department of Agriculture and Environment.

Compare the mining output of Thanh Chuong Sand Mining and Transport Joint Stock Company from January 1, 2025 to March 31, 2025 to advise on handling measures in accordance with the provisions of law.
