Suspend operations and fine 2 establishments for violating food safety regulations

(Baonghean.vn) - Implementing the direction of the Department of Food Safety, the Department of Food Safety and Hygiene of Nghe An province has just organized food safety and hygiene inspection at 02 establishments: Duc Hieu Production and Trading Company specializing in the production of bottled drinking water, Plaza bottles and the collective kitchen of VN Nam Dan - Van An Company Limited.

At the time of inspection of the Plaza bottled water production facility, it was found that the facility had stopped production and there were no samples of bottled water or bottles. This is the facility that was found to have contaminated products. Accordingly, the inspection team issued a decision to suspend production at the facility in accordance with the law and requested the facility to recall all contaminated products produced on June 20, 2014 that were still circulating on the market.

Regarding the collective kitchen of VN Nam Dan - Van An Company Limited, it shows that the company is in the process of construction and completion to put into operation, so some stages in the production and processing of food for workers do not ensure food safety. The delegation has decided to administratively sanction the collective kitchen of VN - Van An Company Limited due to the food poisoning incident on June 14, 2014 with the amount of 10 million VND.
