After the Cuu Long QN 3736 tourist ship caught fire, all tourist ships operating in Ha Long Bay of Cuu Long Cruise Company Limited were suspended. All tourist vehicles operating here were also subject to a general inspection.
As reported, at 10:30 a.m. on April 10, in the waters northeast of Dau Go Island (Ha Long Bay - Quang Ninh), a fire broke out on the QN 3736 ship of Cuu Long Cruise Company Limited. At that time, there were 17 passengers on board, including 15 foreign tourists. The passengers were immediately evacuated to another ship and safely reached shore. The firefighting force extinguished the fire and towed the damaged ship to shore.
Immediately after the incident, the Department of Information and Communications coordinated with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Department of Transport to chair a press conference to inform about the situation and measures to overcome the train fire.
The fire did not cause any casualties. The authorities coordinated to ensure security, order, and traffic safety in the area and conducted an investigation to clarify the cause of the fire and property damage on the ship. The Ha Long Bay Management Board immediately organized to salvage the burnt material floating on the water surface.
