Regarding economic development, identify and promote the advantages of the commune, promote intensive farming, build models, increase production value per unit area. Up to now, the whole commune has built a number of fruit tree models, livestock farms, combined cultivation to promote high efficiency, create jobs for rural workers, increase income. Promote the development of industries, services, and trade: There are 401 households producing small-scale handicrafts, business and trade services; 9 companies and enterprises located in the area (including Song Lam Sugarcane Joint Stock Company, Bai Phu Tea Processing and Service Enterprise have made important contributions to the development of agricultural production in the locality and the western region of the district). The whole commune currently has 133 cars of all kinds, 5 excavators, bulldozers, 25 multi-purpose plows of all kinds, 3 agricultural product purchasing facilities...

Up to now, the commune has 511 people working and studying abroad, bringing back a large income every year. Thanks to the right economic restructuring, with the level of application of science and technology in production, livestock and other industries, the average income per capita is always higher year after year. In 2016, it reached 23.4 million VND/person. The poverty rate in 2011 was 11.2%, now it is 4.5%; the rate of well-off and rich households is increasing day by day.

In addition to economic development, the cultural and social fields have always been given attention and have made many improvements. 100% of households have audio-visual equipment, 14/14 villages have standard cultural houses, spacious playgrounds and community activities. The movement of the whole people uniting to build a cultural life, building cultural villages and cultural families has been responded to by the people. The rate of cultural families annually reaches 85.6%; 10/14 villages have achieved the title of Cultural Village.

Education and learning promotion work is given attention; the quality of teaching and learning is increasingly improved. In the commune, there are 4 schools, of which 2 meet national standards, and 2 secondary and high schools are in the process of being built to meet standards. 100% of school-age children go to school, and the annual graduation rate of secondary and high school students is over 95%.

Health care is given attention by the Party Committee and local authorities; facilities and equipment meet the needs of examination and treatment; national health programs are fully implemented; 14/14 villages have nurses to provide good primary health care for the people.

People contribute to building new rural infrastructure works.

Political security, social order and safety are maintained, the material and spiritual life of the people is significantly improved, cultural, artistic, physical training and sports movements are widely developed in both breadth and depth. Administrative reform work is focused on, properly implementing democratic regulations at the grassroots level to create high consensus in the whole society, movements are pioneered by cadres, party members, veterans, farmers, women, and youth, exemplary leaders in donating land, donating trees, etc.

Dinh Son has built a strong and comprehensive political system. The Party Committee has been continuously recognized as a strong Party Committee. On December 14, 2016, Dinh Son commune was recognized by the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee as a commune meeting the New Rural Standards in 2016. In 5 years, the commune has mobilized a total capital of 58,581,530,000 VND, of which the central budget and provincial budget are 10,018,910,000 VND, the district budget is 4,900,950,000 VND, the commune budget is 18,645,390,000 VND, the combined capital from sectors is 14,396,160,000 VND, the people contributed 10,619,420,000 VND. Hardening nearly 40.6 km of commune and village roads, village lanes; building 5 new houses and upgrading 9 village cultural houses, auxiliary works, renovating the electrical system, office buildings, commune cultural houses, schools, medical stations to meet standards; 100% of households have access to the national grid to ensure safety and housing.
