(Baonghean.vn) -Taking their children out on the Mid-Autumn Festival night in Vinh City, many parents were outraged when teenagers riding motorbikes and electric bicycles used plastic bullet guns to shoot at passersby. This type of gun looks realistic., shoots blue and red plastic bullets, as big as marbles, at a distance of up to 60m, can bruise the skin and even cause blindness.

Still in shock from being shot, Ms. Nguyen Hong Ngoc (residing in Hung Dung ward, Vinh city) said: On the night of the Mid-Autumn Festival, I took my child for a walk by motorbike, and as soon as I parked my motorbike at the Square, I was hit in the shoulder by something small but very strong. I turned purple from the pain, and my two children were so scared that they insisted on going home... Similarly, Tran Mai Anh (a student at Nguyen Truong To high school) was also hit by a plastic bullet on Ho Tung Mau street when she took her younger sibling to the park tonight. Mai Anh said: The two of us were riding bicycles with some friends when suddenly a group of people on motorbikes passed by and shot at us with plastic guns, causing the group of 7 people, 4 of whom were hit by bullets and cried out, one of whom was hit in the face, luckily not in the eye.

A subject using a plastic gun on the night of the Mid-Autumn Festival was arrested by the CSCĐ.

An upset parent said that Mid-Autumn Festival is for children, they should be able to enjoy themselves, but because of thoughtless actions, some people have taken away that right from children, because many families do not dare to let their children go out.

It is known that, in order to limit the use of dangerous toys, Nghe An Provincial Police have issued an official dispatch directing local police and professional departments to organize inspections of children's toy businesses in the area and discovered many violations, confiscating thousands of dangerous toys (mainly plastic bullet guns, water guns, plastic and metal knives and swords, etc.); However, for profit, many subjects still secretly trade. For example, on the night of the Mid-Autumn Festival, the Special Forces of the Department of Administrative Management of Social Order continued to arrest 2 subjects, including Vu Thi Lan (born in 1964, residing in Block 19, Hung Binh Ward) with 29 plastic guns; Ta Thi Do (born in 1956, residing at 47 Hecsman Street), with up to 3 boxes of plastic bullet guns, water guns, bows and arrows, swords, etc.

Vu Thi Lan was prosecuted for trafficking 29 plastic guns.

Ta Thi Do was arrested for trading in banned toys, including plastic bullet guns.

Sergeant Dinh Viet Thien (Provincial Police Mobile Police Team) said: In recent days, through patrol work, the force has caught and handled many cases of using plastic guns and bullets to shoot at passersby, even on the night of the Mid-Autumn Festival, there were dozens of cases handled. However, it is difficult to catch them completely, because the situation of buying and selling dangerous toys, including plastic guns and bullets, is still happening, focusing on mobile businesses, home businesses...

Therefore, the authorities need to really step in to limit the supply of dangerous and toxic toys for children, especially the violent toys that are currently appearing on the market. Along with that, it is necessary to increase inspection and detection of their use to promptly prevent and limit potential dangers.
