Dollar turns down

The State Bank of Vietnam announced the central exchange rate with the US Dollar at 23,714 VND.

The US Dollar fell sharply by 0.67% to 103.33 today and fell as low as 103.29, its lowest level since May 23, after data showed a higher-than-expected increase in jobless claims last week. Although the market is generally considered to be stable for now ahead of key inflation data and the Federal Reserve's interest rate decision next week.

Domestic gold price increased slightly

At the close of trading on the morning of June 9, Saigon Jewelry Company listed the buying price of gold at 66.4 million VND/tael; the selling price was 67 million VND/tael. Compared to the opening of the trading session on the same day, the price of SJC gold increased by 50,000 VND/tael in both buying and selling directions. The difference between the buying and selling price of SJC gold is currently 600,000 VND/tael.

The price of SJC gold at Bao Tin Minh Chau Company Limited is also traded by the enterprise at 66.42 - 66.98 million VND/tael (buy - sell). The price of 24K Rong Thang Long gold of Bao Tin Minh Chau is listed at 55.48 - 56.33 million VND/tael in two directions.

Gold prices increased slightly.

The world gold price recorded at 5:00 a.m. today, Vietnam time, was 1,965.890 USD/ounce. Converted according to the current exchange rate at Vietcombank, the world gold price is about 55.14 million VND/tael (excluding taxes and fees). Thus, the price of SJC gold bars is still 11.91 million VND/tael higher than the international gold price. Meanwhile, the US gold futures price increased by 1%, reaching 1,978.40 USD.

Glutinous rice price decreased by 200 VND/kg

Rice prices today, June 9, in the Mekong Delta region have been adjusted down with sticky rice. Accordingly, AG sticky rice (dry) is priced at around 8,000 - 8,400 VND/kg, down 200 VND/kg. Long An sticky rice (dry) is priced at around 8,400 - 8,800 VND/kg, down 200 VND/kg.

For the remaining items, prices continued to trend sideways. Accordingly, in An Giang, OM 18 rice was purchased by traders at 6,800 VND/kg; OM 5451 rice was priced at 6,300 - 6,500 VND/kg. IR 50404 rice was priced at 6,200 - 6,400 VND/kg.

Glutinous rice increased by 200/kg.

Nang Hoa 9 rice is purchased by traders at a price of 6,600 - 6,800 VND/kg. Dai Thom 8 rice is priced at 6,800 - 7,000 VND/kg. Nhat rice is priced at 7,800 - 8,000 VND/kg. Nang Nhen rice (dried) is priced at 13,000 VND/kg; AG sticky rice (fresh) is priced at 6,200 VND/kg.
