Do Luong: 2 children drowned

(Baonghean.vn) - At around 6:00 p.m. on May 30, at the Ba Ra Do Luong dam area, a drowning incident occurred, killing two children.

The initial cause was determined to be due to the hot weather, the children went swimming at the bottom of Ba Ra dam. In this area, the water flows rapidly, and many places are dangerously deep. The two children who drowned were identified as Hoang Duc Dat (born 2000) and Hoang Van Hung (born 1999). Both children were from Hamlet 8, Dong Son Commune.

Immediately after the drowning incident, the Do Luong District Search and Rescue Command mobilized forces, motorboats and some tools to search. At 4am this morning, May 31, the search force found the body of Hoang Van Hung.

Also in this area in June 2014, a tragic drowning incident occurred, killing a 12th grade student. The location of the drowning was less than 300m from Ba Ra Do Luong dam. However, in this area there were no prohibition signs, no functional forces to protect, so tragic drowning incidents occurred.

This is summer vacation time, students are out of school, parents also need to do a good job of managing their children, avoiding tragic drowning incidents.
