Do Luong planted 7,300 hectares of summer-autumn rice
(Baonghean.vn) - According to the plan for this year's summer-autumn crop, Do Luong will plant 7,300 hectares of summer-autumn rice, mainly Lai rice and Khang Dan rice.
Currently, farmers in Do Luong have basically completed harvesting more than 7,000 hectares of spring rice with an average yield of 6 tons/hectare. Along with the spring rice harvest, communes and towns are focusing on directing farmers to urgently plow, harrow, prepare the land, and fertilize for summer-autumn planting.

According to the plan for this year's summer-autumn crop, Do Luong will plant 7,300 hectares of summer-autumn rice, mainly Lai rice and Khang Dan rice. For rice production, the policy is to plant summer-autumn rice as early as possible, and for low-lying areas, planting will begin in late May and early June.
To ensure timely planting of summer-autumn rice, on the afternoon of May 30, leaders of Do Luong district, leaders of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, and agricultural extension stations visited communes to inspect the progress of summer-autumn rice production in 2017.

Through inspection, it was found that many communes have implemented summer-autumn production on schedule, such as Hien Son, Thuong Son, and Dang Son. The Irrigation Enterprise has coordinated with communes to pump water in a timely manner to serve production. The district leaders requested commune leaders to focus on inspecting, urging, and directing farmers to speed up summer-autumn production in time according to the plan; assign the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development and related departments to do a good job of preparing seeds, materials, fertilizers, crop schedules, and pest control measures as well as drought prevention for crops./.
