Do Luong: Market development associated with new rural construction

(Baonghean.vn) -Currently, associated with the construction of new rural areas in Do Luong, in addition to the formation of standard centers and supermarkets, the development of regional and rural market systems is considered a highlight in the development of the district's service and trade system.

Mr. Vo Huu Dan - Vice Chairman of Nhan Son Commune People's Committee, said: "In the difficult conditions of the locality, the establishment of a regional market here plays a leading decisive role in building a new rural area. Fortunately, the entire land for building the market received support and consent to be converted from land 64 of 42 households, so it was very convenient. The market has 24 business kiosks, with an investment capital of 2.9 billion VND, of which the State supported 300 million VND from the budget, the rest from the local budget. Thanks to the right direction of mobilization, in 2011, the commune handed over over 1 billion VND to the contractor to build the market. According to the plan, by the end of August, Nhan Son market will be in operation, meeting the people's demand for exchanging goods.

According to the report of the District Industry and Trade Department, up to now, 30/30 communes and towns have large and small markets, attracting nearly 5 thousand individual wholesale and retail businesses. There are 5 regional markets that have been invested in and put into operation, promoting efficiency in the exchange and trade of goods, specifically Vinh market (Thai Son), U market (Dai Son), Nan market (Giang Son), Moi market (Thuan Son), Thuong Son market.

Mr. Vo Van Ngoc - Vice Chairman of Do Luong District People's Committee said: The project "Developing services - trade, regional markets, rural markets in Do Luong district in the period of 2011-2015" emphasizes the role of mobilizing resources, especially capital and people's strength, on the basis of planning regional markets, rural markets suitable for each region, sub-region associated with planning of towns in commune centers. This is the basis for attracting investment from industrial production - service investment projects, especially organizations and individuals through marketing, finding markets... to create capital. The district will allocate the budget to support 25% of the construction and installation value, not exceeding 500 million/regional market, supporting from 50-200 million VND/rural market.

According to Mr. Ngoc, the implementation of the construction of regional and rural markets in association with the NTM roadmap in communes has basically been completed in terms of planning and design. However, many localities are stuck with land clearance and land, many localities may have to continue to convert and accumulate more land before being able to build markets, making it difficult to mobilize capital. In particular, many design consultants are irresponsible and lack seriousness, which affects the progress of the construction of regional and rural markets.

During this time, in conjunction with the completion of planning and construction of class III commercial centers in the town, Hoa Son and Tan Son communes, the district focused on directing the transformation of the management model, accelerating the construction of regional markets in Thuan Son and Lam Son communes. Establishing investment projects to build regional markets in Nam Son and Bai Son communes, building Giang Son Tay, Lac Son and Tru Son markets... In particular, the district urgently surveyed and relocated rural markets that were not qualified to be repaired, upgraded and built in violation of the rural traffic safety corridor.
