Do Luong: Launching campaign to clear power grid safety corridor

(Baonghean.vn) - To ensure the safety of people's lives and the safety of the power grid before the storm season, on August 2, 2014, Do Luong Electricity coordinated with Do Luong District Youth Union to organize a campaign to clear the safety corridor of the medium and low voltage power grid in the district.

In this campaign, Do Luong Electricity Branch mobilized all staff from district to commune to coordinate with nearly 100 youth union members to clear the power grid safety corridor in some key communes across the district. Under the guidance of electricity experts, the teams were divided into many small groups along each route to both organize inspections and clear trees and bushes that affect the safety of the power grid, and at the same time clear constructions that violate the power grid safety corridor according to regulations. In combination with the clearance, electricity officials and youth union members also propagated to the people the role and importance of ensuring the safety of the national power grid, the responsibilities of the people and violations of the power grid safety corridor.

Do Luong Electricity Branch currently manages the power grid system including 200 km of medium voltage lines, nearly 1,000 km of low voltage lines and nearly 190 large and small transformer stations in 33 communes and towns. Therefore, ensuring the safety of the power grid and the lives of electricity users is very important and the responsibility of all people. The coordination of the campaign to clear the power grid corridor this time will contribute to raising awareness, thereby creating more consciousness and responsibility in ensuring the safety of the national power grid.
