Delegation of the Ministry of Security (Laos) visited and worked at Nghe An Border Guard
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of September 5, in Vinh City, a delegation of Lao Security Ministry officials led by Colonel Kieng kham INPHENGTHAVONG, Deputy Director of the Police Department, Lao Security Ministry, visited and worked at the Nghe An Border Guard.
At the meeting, Colonel Dinh Ngoc Van, Commander of Nghe An Border Guard, informed the delegation about some activities of Nghe An Border Guard related to provinces sharing borders with Laos.
Notably, close and effective coordination has been achieved with the functional forces of the three provinces of Xieng Khouang, Hua Phan and Bo Ly Kham Xay in managing and protecting the border, maintaining political security and social order and safety, fighting and preventing all kinds of crimes, especially drug crimes. Strengthening the exchange of information on the settlement of migrants, effectively coordinating the implementation of the fight to prevent the development of illegal Protestantism in the border area between Nghe An province and neighboring provinces. Colonel Dinh Ngoc Van also introduced to the delegation the socio-economic development situation of Nghe An province and the homeland of President Ho Chi Minh.
On behalf of the delegation, Colonel Kieng Kham INPHENGTHAVONG thanked the Nghe An Border Guard Command for their thoughtful, respectful and friendly reception and for sharing valuable lessons in the management and protection of sovereignty and border security. Colonel Kieng Kham INPHENGTHAVONG also informed about the outstanding achievements that the Lao Party and State have achieved in the cause of building, developing and protecting the country.
