The delegation of the Ministry of Health and Bach Mai Hospital worked with Nghe An General Friendship Hospital

The delegation was led by Deputy Minister of Health Le Duc Luan. Also participating in the delegation were Deputy Director of the Department of Medical Examination and Treatment Management Nguyen Trong Khoa; Associate Professor, Doctor Dao Xuan Co - Director of Bach Mai Hospital; leaders of Bach Mai Hospital and institutes, centers, departments and offices under the hospital.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Le Duc Luan - Deputy Minister of Health highly appreciated the results that Nghe An General Hospital has achieved in recent years; at the same time, he clearly stated the policy of the Ministry of Health in promoting comprehensive cooperation between central hospitals and local health facilities more and more deeply.

The Deputy Minister of Health also shared the issues of the health sector in recent times regarding bidding, procurement of drugs, supplies, medical equipment, etc.; the efforts of the Ministry of Health in removing difficulties and obstacles.

Over the years,Nghe An General Friendship Hospitalhas received assistance and support in developing technical expertise from Bach Mai Hospital. The two hospitals have signed an agreement on cooperation and technical expertise support and signed a cooperation project and technical expertise support for Nghe An General Hospital for the period 2024 - 2030 to become a special-class hospital by 2025.

At the meeting, Associate Professor, Dr. Dao Xuan Co - Director of Bach Mai Hospital highly appreciated the quality of medical examination and treatment, quality of human resources, facilities and equipment of Nghe An General Friendship Hospital.

In the coming time, Bach Mai Hospital is ready to actively transfer the remaining advanced and specialized techniques to help Nghe An General Friendship Hospital meet the criteria of a special-class hospital according to Circular 06/2024/TT-BYT, making Nghe An General Friendship Hospital soon become a special-class hospital in 2025.

The development of Nghe An General Friendship Hospital will contribute to reducing the load on central hospitals; helping people in the North Central region and people in Laos to fully enjoy advanced and specialized techniques; reducing living and treatment costs, thereby improving the quality of life for people.

Associate Professor, Doctor Dao Xuan Co emphasized: With the current strong high-quality human resources (1 associate professor-doctor; 15 doctors; more than 100 level II specialists and in training; nearly 300 postgraduate doctors and in postgraduate training) of Nghe An General Friendship Hospital, combined with the support of Bach Mai Hospital, it is completely possible for Nghe An General Friendship Hospital to become a special-class hospital by 2025.

Immediately after the working session, the delegation of Bach Mai Hospital started to review the conditions of facilities, equipment, etc. to implement the remaining special criteria to support Nghe An General Friendship Hospital.
