Korean Embassy delegation visits Vietnam - Korea Vocational College of Technology
(Baonghean.vn) - Within the framework of the visit and working session in Nghe An, on the morning of August 7, the delegation of the Korean Embassy in Vietnam led by Mr. Jun Dae Joo, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Korea, had a working session at the Vietnam - Korea Vocational College of Technology.
Also accompanying, on the Korean side were Mr. Park Nark Jong, Cultural Counselor, Director of the Korean Cultural Center in Vietnam; Ms. Lee Su Jeong, First Secretary of the Korean Embassy and members of the working delegation. On the Nghe An Province side were Mr. Tran Ngoc Danh, Director of the Department of Foreign Affairs; leaders of the Provincial People's Committee Office; Mr. Nguyen Duy Nam, Principal of the Vietnam - Korea Vocational College of Technology and together with the Board of Directors, staff and lecturers.

The Vietnam - Korea Industrial Technical Vocational College was supported by the Korean Government to build since 1999. The first phase of the project was invested with 5 million USD. In 2007, the school was upgraded to a college and the Korean Government supported the second phase with a value of 2.3 million USD. In 2015, the Korean Government continued to support 6 million USD to upgrade the school's facilities.

Over the years, the Vietnam - Korea Industrial Technical Vocational College has promoted investment efficiency, constantly improved the quality of human resource training to serve production, created jobs for workers, contributed to the economic, cultural and social development of Nghe An and fostered the friendly and cooperative relationship between Vietnam and Korea.
Currently, the school has a training scale of 3,000 students, with 12 training professions. The school's training program has been gradually innovated and applied programs of advanced countries. Based on the support of the Korean Government, the school strives to upgrade the school to meet the leading training standards of the region, a symbol of Vietnam - Korea friendship. About 80 - 90% of graduates have jobs, especially in large Korean corporations and companies such as Samsung, Huyndai, Deawoo... In addition to vocational training, students here also learn about culture, customs and working style of the people of Kim Chi land.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Jun Dae Joo affirmed that the Korean government always cares about and highly appreciates the results of human resource training. There are many successful projects between Vietnam and Korea, but the project to build a vocational college in Nghe An can be said to be the most successful project.
Based on the confirmed success, we hope that the school's leadership will continue to promote that achievement in order to train a team of highly skilled technical workers for Vietnamese and Korean enterprises and partners.
Mr. Jun Dae Joo affirmed that the Korean government will always pay special attention to investment and support to upgrade the Vietnam - Korea Vocational College of Technology to become a leading vocational training school in the world.
