Delegation from Savannakhet province (Laos) visited and worked at Military Region 4

(Baonghean) -On the afternoon of November 3, a delegation from Savannakhet province (Laos) led by Comrade Suphan Keomyxay - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Provincial Governor visited and worked at Military Region 4. Lieutenant General Nguyen Huu Cuong, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Commander of Military Region 4 received and worked with the delegation.

Comrade Suphan Keomyxay reported on the socio-economic situation and the implementation of security and defense tasks in Savannakhet province; the construction of the Vietnam-Laos border in a peaceful and friendly area. Comrade Suphan expressed his hope that in the coming time, Savannakhet province and Military Region 4 will coordinate more closely in socio-economic development, crime prevention, especially drug crimes, human trafficking, and cross-border smuggling; at the same time, he requested Military Region 4 to help Savannakhet province build the Ban Dong Victory Museum.

On behalf of the Military Region 4 Command, Lieutenant General Nguyen Huu Cuong reported on the activities of the Military Region 4's armed forces in recent times, affirming that the solidarity and unity between the Vietnamese and Lao peoples will forever be strong. Over the years, the Military Region 4's armed forces have actively contributed to building and developing that relationship; helping Laos with specific and practical actions. The Military Region has directed units and provincial Military Commands to organize training courses for cadres and effectively repair technical equipment. At the same time, Lao provinces have actively helped the Martyrs' Remains Collection Teams to search, collect and bring back to Vietnam thousands of martyrs' remains. Military Region 4 will create all favorable conditions and send experts to help Savannakhet province build a system of exhibits.
