Delegation of Savannakhet province (Laos) worked with leaders of Nghe An province

(Baonghean) -This morning, November 5, the high-ranking delegation of Savannakhet province - Lao PDR led by Dr. Suphan Keomixay - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Governor of Savannakhet province met and worked with the leaders of Nghe An province. Receiving and working with the delegation, on the side of Nghe An province were comrades Ho Duc Phoc - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Le Xuan Dai - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, and representatives of a number of provincial departments and branches.

At the meeting, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - Ho Duc Phoc highly appreciated the visit and work of the delegation, and informed the delegation about the socio-economic development situation and the cooperative relationship between Nghe An and the provinces sharing the border with Laos in general and with Savannakhet province in particular. In the first 10 months of 2011, although the economy was in a difficult context, the GDP growth rate of Nghe An province was still estimated at 10.38%/plan of 11-12%; the economic structure continued to shift in the right direction. Nghe An granted investment certificates to 67 newly registered projects, with a total registered capital of 17,330 billion VND; granted business registration certificates to 1,095 enterprises. National defense, security and social order continued to be maintained.

Regarding the cooperative relationship with the provinces of Laos, Nghe An has participated in production, business and investment activities in Laos in all fields. Currently, there are over 50 enterprises of Nghe An participating in production, business and import-export activities with Laos, with a total investment value of over 15 million USD. In the coming time, Nghe An will create all conditions to help the neighboring province in all fields, focusing on the field of education and training...

Comrade Suphan Keomixay was excited and happy with the achievements that the Party Committee and people of Nghe An province have achieved in the past time. He considered those victories as victories of the Party, State and people of Lao ethnic groups and thanked Nghe An province for its wholehearted support to the provinces sharing the border with Laos in general and Savannakhet in particular. At the same time, he hoped that in the coming time, he would continue to receive support, contributing to promoting the good relationship between the two countries in general and between Nghe An and Savannakhet provinces in particular to a new height.
