Vinh City delegation offered incense at Road 9 Martyrs Cemetery
(Baonghean.vn) - To celebrate the War Invalids and Martyrs Day on July 27, a working delegation of the City Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Vinh City offered incense and flowers at the Truong Son Martyrs Cemetery and visited the tomb of General Vo Nguyen Giap.
On July 13, a working delegation led by Comrade Vo Viet Thanh - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of Vinh City Party Committee, together with leaders of the People's Council, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, armed forces and representatives of ward, commune and hamlet officials in the city came to offer incense and flowers at the Road 9 Martyrs' Cemetery. This is the resting place of more than 10,000 heroic martyrs who fell on the Road 9 fronts, the Quang Tri battlefield and Laos during the resistance war against the US.

Before the souls of martyrs who fell for the independence and freedom of the nation, comrade Vo Viet Thanh reported on some aspects of the economic and social situation of Vinh city as well as the work of caring for and showing gratitude to those who contributed to the revolution. The Party Committee, government and people of Vinh city vow to continuously promote the fine revolutionary tradition, uphold the spirit of solidarity and creativity, constantly innovate and develop the economy and society, worthy of being a heroic red city, building the city to be increasingly rich and beautiful, and at the same time actively do better in the work of repaying gratitude.

After offering incense and flowers at the central memorial of the martyrs' cemetery, the delegation went to burn incense to commemorate the heroic martyrs from Nghe An - Ha Tinh who are resting at the Road 9 cemetery.
