Yen Thanh delegation visited Truong Son Martyrs Cemetery, Road 9
(Baonghean.vn) - Towards the commemoration of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2014), from July 6 to 9, 2014, leaders and relatives of martyrs in Yen Thanh district went to Quang Tri province to burn incense to commemorate heroic martyrs at Truong Son National Cemetery and Road 9 Cemetery; and went to Quang Binh to visit the tomb of General Vo Nguyen Giap.

Truong Son Cemetery is located on Ben Tat hill, next to National Highway 15 in Vinh Truong commune, Gio Linh district (Quang Tri), gathering 10,333 graves of martyrs, of which Yen Thanh district's children have 147 graves at Truong Son cemetery and Road 9 cemetery.
To be worthy of the sacrifices of heroes and martyrs, to promote the revolutionary tradition, over the years, the Party Committee, government and people of Yen Thanh district have always united and strived to build the district to develop more and more in all fields. In particular, the work of gratitude has always been of interest to the district. Every two years, Yen Thanh district organizes to bring the relatives of martyrs' families to visit Truong Son cemetery to show their affection for the soldiers who sacrificed for the Fatherland.

Towards the commemoration of War Invalids and Martyrs Day on July 27, Yen Thanh has carried out many practical activities, promoting education on patriotic and revolutionary traditions; repairing houses for families of war invalids, martyrs and people with meritorious services; repairing martyrs' cemeteries; visiting and encouraging families with meritorious services. Every cadre, party member and people in the district always try their best in every field of work, study, production and combat to partly repay the merits of heroic martyrs.
On this occasion, the delegation of leaders and relatives of martyrs of Yen Thanh district visited the tomb of General Vo Nguyen Giap at Vung Chua - Yen Island, Quang Dong commune, Quang Trach district, Quang Binh province.
