Nghe An National Assembly Delegation works with Provincial People's Committee on implementing socialized healthcare

The report of the Provincial People's Committee affirmed that the issuance of directives and instructions of the Government and the Ministry of Health on social incentive policies in the health sector has been implemented by the Provincial People's Committee and many specific documents have been issued to focus on effective direction. Most notably, the private health care system has developed rapidly, thereby adding a force of doctors and pharmacists to participate in the task of medical examination and treatment, and taking care of people's health (1,098 medical staff). The socialization of investment in equipment at public health facilities through joint ventures, shareholders contributing capital, and borrowing capital for investment has really created conditions for health facilities to have high-tech equipment, contributing to improving the quality of examination, diagnosis and treatment for patients.
Also at the meeting, the National Assembly Delegation of Nghe An also acknowledged the difficulties, shortcomings and problems in the health sector. That is, the socialization work at the grassroots health care level is not high, the team of grassroots doctors is not stable, sustainable and long-term. The investment in funds and human resources for a number of public hospitals and newly established clinics is not commensurate and still inadequate. The problem of attracting experts and good doctors to work in the province has not achieved the desired results. The management of human resources, equipment, and medical examination and treatment capacity for the private health care system. The work of transparency in socialization activities in public hospitals regarding prices, use of facilities, rooms, and hospital beds has not been implemented...
Speaking at the meeting, comrade Nguyen Xuan Duong affirmed that the policy of socialization is in line with the general development trend. However, to continue to promote the effectiveness of socialization, it is necessary to have clear regulations on standards, capacity, and conditions for establishing private medical facilities. Socialization must be implemented synchronously in all stages, including health insurance. Regulations must be more specific for each item, content of association, and socialization. The State also needs to invest the budget in key areas, especially the grassroots medical sector. The province will also strengthen socialization work, while solving the arising issues under its authority.
