Comrade Thai Thanh Quy - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council chaired at the Nghe An Provincial National Assembly Delegation bridge point. Also attending were National Assembly deputies of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council and a number of relevant departments and branches.
CHOOSE DOMESTIC TOURISM AS A MOMENTUM FOR DEVELOPMENT
Opening the question-and-answer session, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung said that the Ministry has made efforts to fulfill its responsibilities in terms of state management in the three fields of culture, sports and tourism.

“Figuratively speaking, it is like a three-horse carriage, in which culture holds the reins, tourism bears the mark of cultural products, and sports for human health as the subject of building, creating, and protecting the socialist Vietnamese Fatherland,” the Minister said, adding that the Ministry has determined to comprehensively direct the three key tasks above with the consistent motto of “having to act resolutely, aspire to contribute to organize implementation.”
However, Minister Nguyen Van Hung also acknowledged that the industry is facing many difficulties and challenges, especially attracting more international tourists; ensuring sustainable attraction of domestic tourists; in the cultural field, there are still many signs of degradation... therefore, there must be many synchronous solutions.

At the question and answer session, many delegates focused on clarifying solutions to restore tourism after the Covid-19 pandemic?
Minister Nguyen Van Hung said: After reopening tourism, the situation has improved, but attracting international tourists is still difficult due to different epidemic prevention and control policies in different countries.
Affirming that our country is basically ready to welcome international tourists, the Minister said that it takes time to connect with traditional customers, and it is also necessary to closely coordinate with relevant sectors to create the most favorable conditions for visitors, ensure better quality of tourism services, and professionalize travel business activities. In that context, our country is choosing domestic tourism as a driving force for development.

Minister Nguyen Van Hung proposed that the National Assembly and the Government continue to extend the implementation of support policies for workers in the tourism sector to help businesses overcome difficulties caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.
Delegates also questioned the difficulties in human resources in the tourism industry. Accordingly, the head of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism said that the Ministry has been strengthening the capacity of training institutions and lecturers; promoting socialization and international cooperation in human resource training; improving vocational skills through completing and applying unified occupational standards at the national and international levels.

Regarding this content, Minister of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs Dao Ngoc Dung said that the labor market in the tourism sector is growing strongly again. To date, the whole country has 19.8 million people working in the tourism sector, a sharp increase compared to the previous quarter.
The head of the Labor sector also said that our country has had many policies to restore labor in the tourism and service sectors, policies to retain and attract workers to return, and support training of the local workforce; at the same time, he proposed 7 groups of fundamental solutions to this issue such as: Training in knowledge, professional skills, autonomy and gradually adapting to new skills; strongly implementing the national and regional vocational skill standards system, moving towards recognizing the ASEAN Occupational Standards; having policies to attract human resources; improving the capacity of the training system, fostering expertise, improving quality; planning synchronous linkages between the Central, localities, and sectors, linking travel businesses with schools; diversifying forms of learning and training, expanding training areas; propaganda, consulting, and career orientation for students...

Along with that, Minister Dao Ngoc Dung also said that the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism will coordinate to develop a project to develop tourism labor force, both long-term and short-term training; both cultural and vocational training.

After a working day, the question and answer session organized by the National Assembly Standing Committee on groups of issues within the fields and responsibilities of the Ministry of Public Security and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism completed all the proposed content and closed.

In his concluding remarks, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue emphasized that the groups of issues in the two areas selected for questioning at the session were correct and accurate, consistent with real life developments, closely following the order of priority in many issues of interest to National Assembly deputies, people, voters and public opinion.
“The development of the question-and-answer session showed a realistic, practical, enthusiastic, straightforward and highly responsible spirit towards both the questioner and the questioner,” the National Assembly Chairman assessed and emphasized: The National Assembly Standing Committee and the National Assembly deputies highly appreciated the question-and-answer session, and agreed with and acknowledged the solutions and commitments of the Ministers of the Ministries of Public Security, Culture - Sports and Tourism, as well as the opinions of relevant Government members at the question-and-answer session.

Emphasizing that in order for the question-and-answer session to be truly successful in practice, on behalf of the National Assembly Standing Committee, the National Assembly Chairman requested the Government, the Prime Minister, Ministers, and Heads of ministerial-level agencies to focus on implementing a number of key tasks and solutions, creating strong changes in state management in the areas being questioned. Along with that, based on the results of the question-and-answer session, the National Assembly Standing Committee will issue a resolution as a basis for implementation and supervision./.
