(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of November 13, continuing the working program in Nghe An, the delegation led by Mr. Atsuki TOMOYOSE - Second Secretary of the Embassy of Japan in Vietnam visited and surveyed a number of facilities in the province. Accompanying the delegation were leaders representing the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development and the Department of Transport.

Sy Market Station in Dien Ky Commune, Dien Chau District is located at Km 279+000 on the North-South Railway. It is considered the railway station with the largest number of passengers and goods passing through among the stations in Nghe An province. |

The delegation worked with the board of directors of Xuan Thanh Agricultural Company Limited, Minh Hop, Quy Hop. The company currently manages a total of 1,700 hectares of natural land, which has been assigned to nearly 1,900 households; planting 730 hectares of oranges (300 hectares for harvest); 450 hectares of rubber; the rest is sugarcane and forestry trees. The company's main task is to produce and trade citrus fruit trees and long-term industrial trees with processing. |

Members of the delegation visited Xa Doai orange garden. Although only in its third year, the orange trees are growing very well. It is known that the current price of oranges at the garden is about 40,000 VND/kg and is expected to increase during Tet. |

The delegation visited Van Du orange garden. Entering the 7th year of harvest, each hectare of oranges brings in an average income of nearly 1 billion VND per year. Mr. Atsuki TOMOYOSE and Mr. Satoshi YAMAMOTO - senior expert in establishing the JICA Vietnam project, talked enthusiastically about the commercial value of the Vinh orange brand and the possibility of exporting Vinh oranges abroad. |
