(Baonghean.vn) - Supervising the slaughtering process at two concentrated livestock slaughterhouses in Dien Chau district, Team 2, the National Assembly's Supervisory Delegation, made a preliminary assessment that the facilities had not complied with slaughter regulations and still had potential risks of food safety and hygiene.
As part of the monitoring program, on the morning of January 17, Team 2, the National Assembly's Monitoring Delegation, conducted monitoring of policies and laws on food safety and hygiene at two concentrated slaughterhouses in Dien Tho and Dien Dong communes (Dien Chau); the dairy farm of Vietnam Dairy Cow Company Limited (Dong Hieu commune, Thai Hoa town) and the safe vegetable production area in Nghi Lien commune (Vinh city).
Comrade Phung Duc Tien - Vice Chairman of the National Assembly's Committee on Science, Technology and Environment was the head of group 2. The delegation included Comrade Le Quang Huy - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Nguyen Thanh Hien - Deputy Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation and representatives of relevant sectors.

At around 3:30 a.m., the delegation conducted a monitoring visit to the centralized slaughterhouse of Mr. Dinh Van Hai (Hamlet 4 - Tay Tho, Dien Tho Commune, Dien Chau District). Next, the delegation monitored the breeding process, disease control, and milking at the Nghe An Dairy Farm of Vietnam Dairy Cow Company Limited in Dong Thanh hamlet, Dong Hieu commune, Thai Hoa town. Finally, the delegation visited the safe vegetable production planning area in Hamlet 3, Nghi Lien Commune, Vinh City. Currently, the safe vegetable production area of Nghi Lien Commune has an area of nearly 5 hectares, supported by the agricultural competitiveness project.
