Nghe An Business Bloc Delegation has new Secretary

(Baonghean.vn) - On August 20, Nghe An Business Bloc Youth Union organized the 5th Congress of Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Nghe An Business Bloc, term 2017 - 2022.

Nghe An Provincial Business Bloc Union currently manages 93 affiliated establishments with a total of nearly 5,000 union members, accounting for 17% of the total staff, workers and employees in the business sector.

During the term, the Provincial Business Bloc Youth Union organized 8 commendation sessions and over 250 individuals and collectives were commended at all levels in various fields such as: Advanced Youth following Uncle Ho's teachings in the Central Highlands region; Youth Creativity movement; Outstanding Youth of Nghe An province, etc.

Union members and young people are always proactive in studying to improve their professional qualifications, creative work, research, and mastering scientific and technological advances, contributing to increasing productivity, labor efficiency, product and service quality. During the term, the Union has carried out more than 1,800 youth projects, presenting more than 4,352 gifts with a total value of more than 5 billion VND.

During the past term, 366 large and small technical and management innovation topics and initiatives were effectively applied, creating many new highly competitive products, bringing great benefits to businesses.

Every year, the entire Union has organized more than 20 innovation and professional competitions to improve the skills and qualifications of union members and young people. In 2016, the Enterprise Union organized a ceremony to honor 52 outstanding collectives and individuals in the "Young Creativity" movement.

The Standing Committee of the Youth Union of the Bloc has directed, donated, and presented 60 gifts to disadvantaged young workers in the units each year with a total value of more than 300 million VND; annually organizes the "Youth Workers Festival" and "Youth Workers Singing Festival", creating a healthy playground for young workers in the affiliated units.

The youth of the business sector also actively participate in the volunteer front for community life and social security. Typical movements include: participating in supporting "Building new rural areas", "Tet for the poor", "Supporting school", "Warm winter, loving spring", "Voluntary blood donation"; activities towards borders, islands, gratitude, for beloved juniors...

During the 2012 - 2017 term, the entire Youth Union presented more than 11,000 gifts to disadvantaged students with a total value of 2.75 billion VND; including 12 "For Beloved Juniors" projects such as children's playgrounds, classrooms, study tables and chairs, auxiliary works worth 679 million VND, more than 5,000 sets of clothes, warm blankets; more than 5,000 sets of books, notebooks, and learning equipment.

Speaking at the congress, comrade Pham Tuan Vinh - Member of the Central Committee of the Youth Union, Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union acknowledged the contributions of the Provincial Business Union to the Youth Union movement of the province. In addition, he also noted that the Business Union needs to continue to improve the quality and effectiveness of propaganda and education work for union members and youth; improve the quality of union activities, pay attention to Party development work, etc.

Next, comrade Thai Khac Thu - Secretary of the Provincial Business Bloc Party Committee acknowledged the important contributions of the union members and youth of the provincial business sector; at the same time, he hoped that the union members and youth of the sector would be more active, dynamic and creative in the work and activities of the Union movement; promote technical innovation initiatives, improve quality in management and production and business, and actively contribute to the development of enterprises.

The Congress elected 20 comrades to the Executive Committee of the Provincial Business Union for the 2017-2022 term and 7 delegates to attend the Provincial Youth Union Congress.

The Executive Committee of the Youth Union of the Bloc elected 6 members of the Standing Committee of the Youth Union of the Provincial Business Bloc; elected comrade Tran Linh - Deputy Secretary of the Youth Union of Nghe An Business Bloc as Secretary of the Youth Union of the Provincial Business Bloc for the 2017-2022 term.

With the slogan "Young people of Nghe An province's business sector are united, creative, proactive, voluntary and integrated", the Congress called on the youth of Nghe An province's business sector to continue to promote traditions, strive to compete in studying, working, being creative, determined to overcome limitations and weaknesses, overcome difficulties and challenges, together with the Party Committee of the business sector and the people of Nghe An province to successfully implement the Resolution of the Party Congresses at all levels, contributing to building the homeland increasingly prosperous, sustainable and civilized.
