The Navy Command's fleet of ships in Region 4 brings Tet gifts to Truong Sa.
(Baonghean) -During these days, the Fleet of the Naval Region 4 Command, including 3 ships: HQ 996, HQ 561, HQ 571, made a journey to deliver Tet gifts to officers, soldiers, employees and people of Truong Sa Island District.
Tet gifts for Truong Sa this time are quite complete and rich: cakes, candies, tea, medicine, coffee, watermelon seeds, cellophane noodles, dried bamboo shoots, vegetables, canned meat, canned beer... ingredients for wrapping banh chung such as sticky rice, pork, green beans, pepper, dong leaves, spices... Especially Tet gifts for Quy Ty also include chess sets, music CDs, flashing lights, parallel sentences, Tet paintings... All Tet gifts are distributed by the Navy Command of Region 4 to each unit and each soldier on duty at 33 locations of 21 islands of Truong Sa Island District.

Also going to Truong Sa this time were the delegations of leaders of Khanh Hoa and Binh Thuan provinces, along with hundreds of officers and soldiers of the navy on duty; there were 71 reporters, editors, directors, cameramen from central and local news agencies, newspapers, television and radio stations across the country, such as: Nhan Dan Newspaper, QĐND, Air Defense - Air Force, Vietnam Navy, VNA, Vietnam Television, Voice of Vietnam, VNExpress Electronic Newspaper, Culture, Labor, Youth, Women, Today's Countryside... Nghe An Newspaper had 2 reporters participating and working on this trip: Journalist Nguyen Minh Thong - Head of Electronic Department, journalist Nguyen Thanh Chung - Social and Cultural Department.
Three ships will go to Truong Sa on three routes: HQ 996 will visit the northern islands: Song Tu Tay, Da Nam, Da Thi, Son Ca, Nam Yet, Da Lon and several other islands. Ship HQ 561 will visit the islands of Sinh Ton, Co Lin, Len Dao, Sinh Ton E, Tien Nu, Nui Le, Toc Tan, Phan Vinh... Ship HQ 571 will visit the islands of Da Lat, Truong Sa Lon, Da Tay, Truong Sa E, Da Dong, Thuyen Chai, An Bang...
On January 4, 2013, three ships docked at three islands in three voyages: Da Nam, Sinh Ton, Da Lat, delivering the first Tet gift packages to soldiers and people of Truong Sa. On January 6, 2013, ship HQ 996 arrived at Song Tu Tay island and on January 9 left the island, continuing its journey.
