Quit drugs, become rubber nursery owner
(Baonghean.vn) During a trip to Que Phong to do business with friends, due to being persuaded and enticed by friends, Manh Loc Diep (in Nghia Tan - Nghia Dan) tried using drugs and became addicted without realizing it.
At the same time, his wife became ill and passed away, leaving behind four young children. With the encouragement of the local government, departments, branches, and mass organizations, and the encouragement of his family, friends, and neighbors, in September 2009, Diep began to separate himself from his drug addict friends and quit at home, determined to start over. After many struggles and physical pain, the drug addiction treatment finally paid off. He confided: "To quit, the most important thing is to try your best, not listening to the enticements of other addicts, which will lead to relapse."
After successfully quitting his addiction, with only 15 million VND in capital and with the help of his friends, he invested in growing rubber seedlings and contracting a pond to raise fish. At first, he only thought of participating in livestock production to completely isolate himself from the drug-infested environment. But with his courage and determination, his family now has nearly 2 hectares of rubber trees in harvest, and a rubber seedling nursery. The family's average income per year is over 150 million VND.
Looking back at his property, Mr. Diep could not believe that his life could still be rebuilt. According to him, there is only one way: to have determination, to have the desire to be a human being, then success is certain. And in fact, Manh Loc Diep has done what many people expected and more. Because the government, local organizations and everyone did not turn their backs on him.
