US Embassy Political Officials Delegation working in Nghe An
(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of August 27, the Political Officer Delegation of the US Embassy in Vietnam led by Mr. Greg D'Alesandro - Political Officer visited and worked in Nghe An.
Receiving and working with the delegation were comrade Le Xuan Dai - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of the Provincial Party Committee Office, Provincial People's Committee, departments: Foreign Affairs, Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs, Provincial Police.

At the meeting, comrade Le Xuan Dai reported on the socio-economic situation of the province in the first 8 months of 2014, and at the same timeemphasized that the cooperation between Nghe An province and the United States has gradually developed in recent years. In 2009, the US Pacific Command sponsored the construction of Ky Son primary school, Tan Ky district (Nghe An). The school was put into use, creating opportunities for poor children to go to school; in 2012, Nghe An cooperated with the United States to successfully implement two programs "Pacific Angel" and "Pacific Partnership" with many practical activities, such as: repairing, upgrading, building new commune health stations and providing some necessary equipment for 3 commune health stations in Hung Nguyen and Nam Dan districts. Every year, the Embassy's working delegations have had meetings with universities, colleges, and high schools to introduce the scholarship opportunities of the US Embassy for Vietnamese students...
On behalf of the delegation, Mr. Greg D'Alesandro thanked the leaders of Nghe An province for their warm welcome and wished to continue promoting effective cooperation in all aspects between Nghe An and the US Embassy.
