Businesses buy low-priced coffee for temporary storage
The price of green coffee beans is fluctuating at a low level of about 37,000 VND/kg, so some coffee exporting enterprises with strong financial resources are looking to buy to temporarily store in warehouses, waiting for prices to increase to sell for profit.
Businesses believe that this price stagnation is favorable for purchasing and this is a good time for businesses with strong financial resources to find ways to buy and temporarily store in warehouses. However, it is possible that at the end of the coffee season, people and businesses have sold all the coffee so there is no more stock.
According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, in the first 8 months of 2013, Vietnam exported 974,000 tons of coffee, worth more than 2 billion USD.
