(Baonghean) -On July 22, Nghe An Customs Department will launch electronic customs clearance. This is an important event for the Customs sector and businesses participating in import-export activities.
Electronic customs clearance is one of the important contents of the customs modernization work that Nghe An Customs Department has been implementing to meet the development needs in the new situation. Enterprises carrying out electronic customs procedures will be trained by the Customs, provided with electronic customs declaration software and free consultation. Enterprises are allowed to use electronic documents or electronically converted documents from documents attached to electronic customs declarations in customs dossiers for customs authorities to check upon request. Priority will be given to implementation compared to the case of registering customs dossiers on paper in case the customs authority determines that it is necessary to check the customs dossier in detail or to check the actual goods. Goods will be cleared and released on the basis of electronic declarations without having to present or submit documents attached to the declaration in the customs dossier for shipments exempted from customs dossier inspection and exempted from actual goods inspection. Only submit or present documents in customs dossiers related to the content requested by the customs authority for inspection of shipments subject to customs dossier inspection or actual goods inspection...
Mr. Chu Quang Luan - Director of Nghe An Customs Department, said: The Customs Department has established a support team to implement electronic customs procedures at the Department's office and affiliated branches. Coordinated with the Department of Information Technology & Customs Accounting to review and check the actual needs of equipment systems at units to implement electronic customs procedures. The Customs Department has reported to relevant levels and branches in the area and coordinated synchronous implementation.
After developing a specific implementation plan, the Customs Department selected Vinh Customs Branch for the pilot project, and simultaneously implemented the following types: Business, investment, processing, and export production. Five enterprises were selected for the pilot project: Nghe An Petroleum Company, SABECO Song Lam Joint Stock Company, Trung Lai Gas Lighter Joint Stock Company, Tea Investment and Development One Member Co., Ltd., and Handicraft Joint Stock Company.
Guide for businesses to carry out customs procedures
To prepare for the opening ceremony of electronic customs procedures on July 22, the Customs Department has coordinated with the Customs Information Technology and Accounting Department and Thai Son Company to train customs officers and businesses in the area and conduct a trial operation with real data at Vinh Customs Branch from July 1. Up to now, the electronic customs clearance program system at Nghe An Customs Department has been operating stably.
