Information and Communication industry revenue reached over 3,674 billion VND
On the morning of July 20, the Department of Information and Communications held an online conference to evaluate the results of state management activities on information and communications in the first 6 months of the year and deploy work for the last 6 months of the year with 19 connecting points in 19 districts, cities and towns.
In the first six months of the year, the growth rate of the Information and Communications industry was quite good, information and communications ensured to meet the requirements of leadership, management, and serving the needs of society. The total revenue of the industry was estimated at 3,674.9 billion VND, estimated to reach 67.49% of the plan set for 2011.
In the last 6 months of the year, the Department of Information and Communications will direct 9 key tasks. In particular, focusing on implementing IT projects, plans, and projects well, bringing information to the grassroots, mountainous, remote, border, and island areas; strengthening state management of press and publishing; promoting the application of information in the activities of Party and State agencies; developing telecommunications infrastructure in remote and isolated districts; ensuring communication in flood and storm prevention.
