Unique street festival at the northernmost point of the country
On the evening of September 19, thousands of children, students and many ethnic minorities in Ha Giang and tourists gathered at C10 Stadium, Ha Giang City, Ha Giang Province, to attend the Ha Giang Street Festival 2013.
The street festival is a big festival held by Ha Giang city on the night of the full moon of the Mid-Autumn Festival. This is the third year the street festival has been held, and it is also an opportunity for people of all ethnic groups in Ha Giang city to participate in cultural and artistic activities, creating a joyful and exciting atmosphere.

Through the festival, typical and unique cultural features, promoting the image of Ha Giang province in general and Ha Giang city in particular are introduced to attract tourists.
This is also an opportunity to promote creativity, encourage people to promote patriotic emulation movements, strive to successfully carry out political tasks and develop the socio-economy of Ha Giang city.
According to the Organizing Committee, this year the festival has attracted many elaborately prepared and meaningful demonstration models from wards and communes in Ha Giang city. The models were enthusiastically participated in by ethnic minorities who contributed their working days and creativity, creating very unique models, preserving the traditional values of the nation.
Many models are uniquely designed by the locals, with materials from local products such as rattan, bamboo, and reed. A typical example is the Song Long model of Tran Phu ward, with 2 winding dragon bodies, representing 12 months of the year, with small seamless fins on the back.
Or the model of Lung Cu National Flagpole, Dong Van district - a symbol of strength, pride, self-respect, proud spirit, and indomitable will of the Vietnamese people.
With skillful hands, the ethnic people of Phuong Thien commune have designed a model of a water wheel - a typical image of ethnic minorities in the highlands in agricultural production to get water to irrigate the fields. Not only the models have ideas revolving around fairy tales, the festival also has many unique models such as Fairy Mountain in Quan Ba district, terraced fields relic - the magnificence of nature in the western district of Ha Giang, Hoang Su Phi.
After the opening of the Ha Giang Street Festival 2013, amidst the bustling sound of lion dances, the models participating in the street festival paraded through the main streets.
The flow of people made the streets of Ha Giang city - the economic and political center of Ha Giang province more bustling and sparkling. Under the bright light of the full moon, young people, children and ethnic minorities in the northernmost part of the country were happier, welcoming a warm and meaningful full moon festival./.
