(Baonghean.vn) - Phuc Thanh commune, Yen Thanh district, is an ancient land with many historical and cultural relics and scenic spots known to tourists from near and far. Among them are Vu Ky rock and Thien Tao pagoda with their mysterious beauty bestowed by nature.
Len Vu Ky is a branch of limestone mountains situated amidst a vast plain, resembling a fluttering flag, sturdy and majestic. Surrounded by prosperous villages and fertile, lush green fields, it creates a magnificent, peaceful, and poetic landscape. It is considered a symbol of the local people.
From the top of the hill, one can overlook a vast countryside; therefore, throughout history, it has been a strategically important military location for defending against foreign invaders. Previously, the hill covered an area of approximately 25 hectares, stretching over 1 km, and comprised five peaks. It was surrounded by lush green forests, home to many animal species. Currently, the hill has four peaks remaining, the highest reaching nearly 80 meters; its total area is 54,246 square meters.

Particularly noteworthy is a conical cave nestled deep within the mountain, measuring 24 meters in height and 13.3 meters in width. The cave floor is relatively flat and dry, with only one small entrance (1.35 meters wide and 1.8 meters high) constructed from stacked stones. Since the Nguyen Dynasty, the local people have chosen this location to build a temple, named Thien Tao Temple, to worship Buddha Shakyamuni.

| The temple consists of four natural rock walls, like a work of art, with shimmering rock patterns. In the center of the temple is a natural well, considered the "jewel well." Especially when the wind blows, the temple emits sounds from the rocks like drums and bells, awakening the spirits. Photo: Thai Duong |

| Thien Tao Pagoda is a unique art form, unlike the structure of ordinary temples. The people have skillfully utilized the natural environment to create a spiritual and cultural center, serving the spiritual needs of the community. Photo: Thai Duong |

| The unique feature of this temple lies in the harmonious blend of natural beauty and tranquility; the serenity of this sacred place creates a sense of peace and relaxation. Every 14th and 15th (lunar calendar), people and Buddhists come to the temple to worship Buddha, demonstrating the tradition of "drinking water, remembering the source"; preserving and promoting the local cultural identity.
