(Baonghean.vn) -With the theme "Innovation and improvement of agricultural development institutions in the context of market economy and international integration", on the morning of December 5, at the Office of the People's Committee of Nghe An province, a consultation conference on policies in agricultural development, some orientations for agricultural development in Vietnam in general and Nghe An in particular took place. The conference was attended by representatives of the Institute of Policy and Strategy for Agricultural and Rural Development - Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, the Provincial People's Committee and the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Nghe An.

Overview of the Conference

In the spirit of Resolution 26/NQ-TW dated August 5, 2008 of the Party Central Committee, Resolution 7 of the 10th Central Committee on agricultural, farmer and rural development, delegates assessed the situation of agricultural economic development in the past time in Nghe An. Accordingly, after 5 years of implementing Resolution 7 of the 10th Central Committee, in our province, 235 farms, 3,000 family farms, 479 agricultural cooperatives have been built. 68% of farming households participate in the economic form of cooperatives and cooperative groups. The collective economic sector creates regular jobs for nearly 15,000 workers. The poverty rate decreased from 27.14% in 2005 to 12.5% ​​in 2013.
