Colonel Pham Van Dong - Political Commissar of the Provincial Military Command said that the 2021-2022 dry season search was a successful season, finding many remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts who died in Laos, which was highly appreciated by Military Region 4. “In the 2022-2023 dry season and the following years, the situation of the mission to search and collect the remains of martyrs in Laos is increasingly difficult and complicated. The political security situation in some areas in the collection area in Laos is still complicated; the remaining martyrs' graves are mainly scattered in remote areas, with difficult roads, many martyr burial locations are difficult to determine due to the long time and changing terrain...”, Colonel Dong added.
At the conference, after listening to the discussion statements, Steering Committee 515 proposed directions and tasks for searching and collecting martyrs' remains in the 2022-2023 dry season to ensure that the plan is achieved and exceeded as well as ensuring absolute safety for the search and collection forces.
