The fourth Vietnam - Japan strategic partnership dialogue

The two sides expressed their delight at the strong development of the strategic partnership between the two countries in recent times.

On November 11, in Tokyo, Japan, the fourth Vietnam - Japan Strategic Partnership Dialogue took place. The Vietnamese delegation was led by Deputy Foreign Minister Ho Xuan Son. The Japanese delegation was led by Deputy Foreign Minister Shinsuke Sugiyama.

In an atmosphere of friendship, trust and mutual understanding, the two sides openly and frankly exchanged views on each country's foreign policy, security and defense, international and regional issues of mutual concern, and agreed to strengthen cooperation at multilateral forums.

The two sides expressed satisfaction with the results of this Dialogue and agreed that the next round of Dialogue will be held in Vietnam at an appropriate time in 2014.

On the same day, Deputy Minister Ho Xuan Son met with Deputy Foreign Minister Seiji Kihara. Deputy Minister Kihara affirmed that Vietnam is one of Japan's top important partners.

The two sides expressed their delight at the strong development of the Strategic Partnership in recent times, saying that the diverse activities held in the two countries during the Vietnam-Japan Friendship Year to celebrate the 40th anniversary of diplomatic relations have contributed to enhancing understanding and friendship between the people of the two countries.

The two sides agreed to continue promoting visits and contacts at all levels, especially high-level, effectively implementing dialogue mechanisms, enhancing cooperation in the fields of economics, trade, investment, etc., and further promoting cooperation between the two foreign ministries./.
