Captain Le Tan Tai: Please don't compare us with U19 Vietnam

The Vietnamese team will play their final match to prepare for the AFF Cup against Malaysia tomorrow (November 16) at My Dinh. The general atmosphere is quite gloomy, few tickets are sold, not many fans come to the stadium. Everything makes the press and fans constantly compare them with the U19 Vietnam team.
Faced with that situation, Tan Tai shared: “At this time, people are comparing a lot between U19 players and national players. Now, we are all very sad when people compare U19 and national team with each other.”
“Personally, Tai hopes that in the coming days, fans and the media will stop comparing the two teams and cheer for the Vietnamese team in the upcoming tournament. The national team is the face of the country and the U19 Vietnam team is the young team competing with each other.”
Previously, there were many opinions that some U19 Vietnam stars should be called up to the national team. Tan Tai confided: “The U19 players are very good and talented. They have trained and competed together for many years. Whether the U19 Vietnam players are called up to the national team or not depends on the coach and the coaching staff. Tai himself cannot evaluate the young players.”
The Binh Duong midfielder also explained the reason why the team played poorly in the match against Palestine: “All of us tried our best in the match against Palestine. That match took place during the time of reviewing the team. The team is changing positions and experimenting to find the best squad for this AFF Cup.”
“The match against Malaysia is the last match, the whole team has been training very actively in the past few days. We will be determined to compete, will show our best to aim for a place in the AFF Cup.”
