Vietnam Olympic team departs for ASIAD 19
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of September 16, the Vietnam Olympic Team moved to Hangzhou (China), preparing to enter the 19th ASIAD campaign.
Coach Hoang Anh Tuan and his team departed from Noi Bai airport at 10:05 on September 16 to travel to Shanghai (China), the flight is expected to land at 14:25. From here, the team will continue to travel by bus 180 km to Hangzhou and begin their journey at ASIAD 19.
In Hangzhou, the team will have 3 days to complete the final preparations before entering the opening match in Group B of the 19th ASIAD men's football, against Mongolia on September 19.

The Mongolian Olympic team is considered the weakest team, the other two opponents, Saudi Arabia and Iran, are actually much better than the Vietnamese Olympic team. Saudi Arabia has talented young players. They are the current U23 Asian champions.
Meanwhile, Iran's youth football is determined to change its position after being eliminated from the 2024 AFC U23 qualifiers. Khuat Van Khang, Nguyen Quoc Viet... also faced Iran U20 earlier this year and lost 1-3.

Sharing before leaving for the 19th ASIAD, coach Hoang Anh Tuan said: “We always set the goal of how to play the best. With a difficult opponent, the players must try harder, try harder, and be more determined to fulfill the requirements set by the Coaching Board.
The team's style of play is similar to that of the National Team. No matter who the opponent is, the team must still play with ball control, following the same tactics and philosophy.
We should not put any more pressure on the players. I believe that the players understand. Although I do not give specific goals for the team, I am sure that the players understand what I want,” said coach Hoang Anh Tuan.
According to the match schedule, the Vietnam Olympic Team will meet the Mongolian Team in the opening match at 3:00 p.m. (Vietnam time) on September 19, then meet Iran at 6:30 p.m. on September 21 and meet Saudi Arabia at 6:30 p.m. on September 24. All matches of the Vietnam Olympic Team will take place at the Linping Sport Center.
