According to the May 2015 rankings just announced by the International Football Federation (FIFA), the Vietnam National Team still maintains its number 1 position in Southeast Asia despite falling 3 places compared to April.

Accordingly, Vietnam ranked 127th in the world and 17th in Asia. The reason why the Vietnamese team dropped 3 places is because we had two important matches in the month, but did not play really well with the scores of 1-1 draw against the DPRK team (international friendly) and 0-1 loss to Thailand (2018 World Cup qualifier).
