Receiving the Certificate of recognition as a provincial historical relic of Giai Pagoda

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of November 26, in Thanh Khai commune (Thanh Chuong district), the ceremony to receive the certificate of recognition of Giai Pagoda as a provincial historical relic took place. Attending the ceremony were representatives of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Thanh Chuong district People's Committee, Thanh Khai commune and many people.

Giai Pagoda is an ancient spiritual architectural work, a place for cultural and religious activities of local people and tourists from all over. Previously, the pagoda was called Van Hoa, after the name of the village. During the reign of King Thieu Tri, the pagoda was converted to Van Giai Pagoda. The pagoda witnessed many important historical events of the locality during the resistance war against France and America. Here, many ancient and precious artifacts are preserved: Buddha statues, incense burners, incense tables... which are valuable in historical research.
