(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of July 19, the People's Committee of Nghi Hop commune and descendants of the Nguyen Dinh family in Nghi Loc district solemnly held a ceremony to receive the certificate of the National Historical Site of Nguyen Ke Sai Tomb and Church. Attending the ceremony were representatives of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, leaders of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Nghe An province, Nghi Loc district, Cua Lo town and a large number of people, tourists from all over the country and descendants of the Nguyen Dinh family throughout the country.

Grand Tutor of the National Palace, Nguyen Ke Sai, was the fifth son of the 16 sons of Grand Tutor of the National Palace, Nguyen Xi. During his lifetime, he, along with his father and brother, had the merit of bringing King Le Thanh Tong to the throne, defeating the Champa army, defending Nghe An and then Thuan Hoa; In addition, he and his eldest brother, Nguyen Su Hoi, had the merit of recruiting people, reclaiming and expanding the area and improving the saline wasteland along the coast of Chau Phuc district, Duc Quang prefecture, especially the Thuong Xa area - the land located near Cua Lo today.

In the last years of his life, Thai Bao Thuong Tru Quoc Sai Quan Cong Nguyen Ke Sai returned to live in Thuong Xa, directly supervising the defense of 12 seaports (from Thanh Hoa to Quang Binh), opening schools and building Son market. He had 9 sons, most of whom were marquises, some of whom were granted the titles of district duke, national duke, Thai Bao, Thai Uy; from there, 9 branches of the Nguyen Dinh family were formed throughout the country.

Over hundreds of years of history, thanks to the careful preservation and care of the descendants of the Nguyen Dinh Chi Nam family and the people of Nghi Hop, the Nguyen Ke Sai Tomb and Church still preserve the beauty of many ancient architectures; besides, there are many ancient and precious artifacts such as royal decrees, palanquins, thrones, tablets, genealogies, etc. These are rare historical sources and valuable works of art.

Every year, the temple still holds many important ceremonies such as the god ceremony, the death anniversary of Thai Bao Thuong Tru Quoc Sai Quan Cong Nguyen Ke Sai... The Nguyen Ke Sai Tomb and Church relic was granted a national historical relic certificate by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, which is a worthy recognition for the relic - a place to worship people who have contributed to the country, devoted themselves to the prosperity of the people; also creating a legal basis to facilitate the long-term protection and promotion of the value of the relic./.
